Joseph A. Carofano, Esq. received his Juris Doctor Degree
from Pace University School of Law in 1991 and was admitted to
the New York Bar in 1992. He is also admitted to the Eastern and
Southern Districts of New York. From 1991 to 1997, he served as
an Assistant District Attorney in Bronx County, where he
prosecuted and tried felonies. In addition, while in the Appeals
Bureau of the Bronx District Attorney’s Office, he prepared,
presented and argued appellate briefs in the Appellate Division,
First Department. From 1997 to 1998, subsequent to his tenures
as an Assistant District Attorney, he was employed as an
associate with Morris, Duffy, Alonso & Faley, an insurance
defense firm in Manhattan. At that firm, he handled the defense
of general liability cases for the New York City Housing
Authority. Thereafter, from 1998 to 2003, he served as a senior
trial attorney at Velella, Velella, Basso & Calandra, handling
general liability, "labor law" and medical malpractice cases. He
tried numerous cases to favorable conclusion. In addition, he
handled real estate, criminal, commercial litigation and

Cesaria (Sara) DeMarco, a paralegal, received her bachelor’s
degree in Communications from Fordham University in 1998. She
will receive her Juris Doctor Degree from Pace University School
of Law in 2005. From 2002 to 2004, she was employed as a real
estate paralegal for Kathleen R. Bradshaw, Esq. Her
responsibilities included: preparation and review of contracts;
ordering, reviewing and clearing real estate titles; and
preparing documents to facilitate the closing of the real estate

Shahnaz Abboud, a paralegal, received her bachelor’s degree
in Legal/Paralegal Studies from Mercy College in 2002. Recently,
she was employed as a real estate paralegal for Wieder & Wieder,
P.C. Her responsibilities included: scheduling closings with
numerous mortgage companies, lenders, title companies and
attorneys; reviewing contracts; reviewing and clearing real
estate titles; and preparing documents to facilitate the closing
of the real estate transactions. In addition, she was previously
employed with the Law Office of Nader J. Sayegh, Esq. as a
paralegal with expertise in Personal Injury Law. Her
responsibilities included: initial client interviews; preparing
pleadings and discovery demands; responding to discovery
requests; filing no-fault claims; and scheduling examinations
before trial, independent medical examinations, court
